Long John Silver Back Ape texturing attempt 1.

Here is my first attempt of texturing the ape that i made a few months ago. I wasnt completely sure of the style required so i have just left the skin/fur as one colour instead of attempting how to properly apply fur in maya for the time being. As you can see I am not the best texturer in the world and it could most definitely look better but here it is so far:

Looks a bit cartoony and too shiney in places but it could be worse. Is nice to see a bit of colour on the model though. Also looking at these renders it seems a bit dark, i also think il add some AA quickly to make it look that little bit better.
